Rehosting

Ok, so, back to work and getting those previous games online.  I can probably find a more permanent host of the games, but they're in Japan, so it's likely I'll need a (slight) pixel blur to pass muster.  Something to work on in the coming weeks.

For now, my most recent two are rehosted on Mega: (password: advsoft)

Still working

Account recovery did indeed do the trick, so I can still post... after a bit of a struggle.

I'm mainly doing the artwork ahead of a new game, issue has been deciding on exactly what kind of theme I want, either a magical girl theme, or a medieval setting.  Some more samples of the three main characters:

I'll look into rehosting some of my other games later this month.

Google Account Security

...is insane.  Particularly using a proxy, which it apparently really doesn't like.  As far as I can tell, even turning off 2-factor authentication doesn't prevent it from complaining about new devices/IP.

Anyway, I think I've finally appeased it, so I'll get around to rehosting/updating my old games, and hopefully posting about future projects now.

What next?

Well, I'm still debating... probably something closer to my original timed matching puzzle games (Fur and Fury, Ingrid the Incubus)  I've still been working on artwork, just not sure how to incorporate it into a game.  Some magic-girl related samples:

...I'll just have to see where things go.  This year hasn't been a good one for free time.

Forest of the Wumpus

This took an embarrassing long time to debug and post, given how short the game is and how little time it took to code in the first place.  Password is "advsoft"

Repost and other neat projects

Since it'd been requested, here's a rehost of the 1.8 version, password locked ("advsoft")

Version 1.8

I'm trying to put the last finishing touches on the little Hunt the Wumpus tribute game, and post that here in a week or two.

While I'm here, might as well recommend this guy's project, though, of a very different sort from DOLM: https://www.patreon.com/tetsuyashino

It's a Patreon that at least lets the public have versions of the game (Just the newest is reserved for patrons) and has a neat concept, in terms of making a platformer type shooter.

1.8 Instead

It's clear life isn't going to give me the time to finish 2.0 any time soon, but there were some game-breaking (if rare) bugs in 1.7, so here's a new build.  The changes:

Version 1.8
-----------
Changes:

Lisa the Alchemist sells both potions and scrolls now.
Being vampirized now has a game over picture
Vampirized heroines can no longer turn you into a vampire (to avoid art problems)
Fed by Rage now recovers a more substantial amount of health
Teleport traps are now in the game on deeper levels

BUG Fixes:

Monster panty tiles are now correct.
Monsters that aren't actually 'killed' now should say defeated in the game text.
Hideous Oozes now spawn the right corpse type when killing player characters.
Titanic Ooze now properly recolors your graphic when it kills you.
Opening a Chest with a single item slot free no longer tells you you can't carry anymore.
Getting killed while on talent selection was causing an error if you tried to create a new character afterwards.
Game not responding if you trigger an event during a level up now fixed.
